Welcome to Phonics Fox: Learn to Read ("we", "our", or "us", application ID com.phonicsfox.app). We are dedicated to providing a safe, delightful, and private digital learning environment for young learners and families.

1. Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance

Phonics Fox is built for early learners, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and early elementary students:

Zero Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, request, store, transmit, or sell any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, locations, or photos.
No User Account or Registration: All curriculum features are fully accessible without registration, account creation, or login credentials.
Parental Gate: Settings and external destinations are protected behind a math-based Parental Gate to ensure children remain safely within the learning environment.

2. Microphone Permission & Voice Processing (RECORD_AUDIO)

Phonics Fox offers optional interactive speech exercises where children practice pronouncing letter sounds and words aloud:

Real-Time On-Device Analysis: Voice audio is evaluated in real time strictly on the child's local device using Android's on-device speech recognizer.
No Audio Storage or Transmission: Audio is never recorded to persistent files, never transmitted to external servers, and never shared with third parties.
Explicit Activation: The microphone is engaged only when the child explicitly taps the microphone button, and immediately disengages once the prompt completes.

3. Offline Local Storage

Phonics Fox operates on a local-first offline architecture:

Local Storage Only: Learning milestones, earned stars, and sound progress are stored strictly on the local device using SQLite / DataStore.
Parental Control: Parents can reset or wipe all progress at any time through Android Settings (Settings > Apps > Phonics Fox > Storage > Clear Data) or by uninstalling the application.

4. Advertising & Google AdMob Compliance

To support free educational access, Phonics Fox integrates Google AdMob under strict Families Policy settings:

Families Policy Ad Filtering: All ad requests specify COPPA child-directed treatment (tagForChildDirectedTreatment = true) and under-age-of-consent parameters.
Non-Personalized Ads Only: Ads served are strictly contextual and family-friendly. No behavioral profiling or cross-app tracking is permitted.
AdMob Privacy Policy: Google's advertising practices are detailed at Google Privacy & Terms.
Authorized Digital Sellers: Our publisher information is publicly declared in compliance with IAB standards via app-ads.txt.

5. Application Permissions
